A Chalkboard's Life Story

Have you ever thought about how much information a chalkboard or whiteboard shows?  Once we fill it up, we erase it and start over, but how many millions of lectures and discussions has a single chalkboard been a part of? If you could somehow quantify the amount of information that has ever been displayed on one whiteboard in one classroom, it could fill volumes, if not libraries.  It's kind of mind-blowing.

  1. You added pictures! They look awesome! I noticed the hierarchy table too. Good for you - it makes them come alive. This is a very interestin thought - because no one has created a chalkboard with built in memory - oh wait - it's called the computer! A little bit like if walls could talk...But it is true that some things just work well -although the magnetic white boards (Duncan and Waterford) were a huge improvement on the green or black chalkboard. I am thinking of hanging up our large whiteboard on the wall by the patio entry so we can all write and draw on it...
